On September 11, 2001, thousands of lives were taken from families, friends, coworkers, and communities.
We remember the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and other first responders who ran toward danger to help others.
We remember the office workers, restaurant and deli workers, delivery workers, messengers, building employees, passengers, visitors, and every ordinary person who simply began that morning living their life, going to work, traveling, caring for their families, and pursuing their dreams.
They were mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and loved ones.
This 25th Anniversary remembrance honors every life lost, every family forever changed, and the courage and humanity that brought Americans together in one of our darkest hours.
The first responders represented on our commemorative artwork stand not only in honor of their fallen brothers and sisters, but as guardians of the memory of all those we lost.
Twenty-five years later, we still remember their names, their lives, their families, and the love they left behind.
We remember them all.
We honor them all.
We will never forget.
